LEED®
The Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC) has established the LEED Canada Initiative, which demonstrates a commitment to building sustainability. This applies to LEED NC (New Construction), LEED CI (Commercial Interiors), LEED CS (Core and Shell) and LEED EB (Existing Buildings).
The benefits of the LEED certification program are more energy efficient new and existing buildings, better trained building operators and enhanced environmental comforts. All, while reducing the carbon footprint.
Commissioning is a mandatory component of all LEED certified projects. Whether it is New Construction, Commercial Interior or Core and Shell, the minimal requirements must be met. These requirements will include specification review, a commissioning plan, verification of installation and testing, performance testing, training and review of O&M Manuals. An additional credit can be obtained by completing a more extensive commissioning outline that would include design reviews, submittal reviews, recommissioning manual and a plan for building operators in the first year.
CFMS West understands the LEED process and we provide the building commissioning services that apply to this initiative. We have completed and are currently working on many LEED accredited projects listed below:
